Biography
Sanaa Hobeichi is a post-doctoral researcher at the Climate Change Research Centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes (CLEX). She is interested in applying machine learning (ML) to aid climate change research. Her research focuses on using ML to improve the predictability of climate extremes and to enhance the spatial resolution of global climate models’ output.

Sanaa Hobeichi is a post-doctoral researcher at the Climate Change Research Centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes (CLEX). She is interested in applying machine learning (ML) to aid climate change research. Her research focuses on using ML to improve the predictability of climate extremes and to enhance the spatial resolution of global climate models’ output.
Sanaa is part of the knowledge brokerage team at CLEX, and she leads a school resources development initiative. In this role, she works with secondary school teachers, climate experts, and climate science communication specialists to develop teaching resources that use climate science research to teach topics in the Australian Curriculum.
Sanaa has a background in mathematics, environmental science, and computer science and she is a former International Baccalaureate teacher.
