I completed my PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of NSW in 2016. My doctoral candidacy focused on the characterization of nano-scale organo-mineral biochars, using a wide range of analytical techniques, for various applications, such as soil amendments, water and air filters. Currently, I work as a Research Fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the UNSW. My research focuses on the characterization of physical, electro-chemical and micro-structural properties of mixed-feedstock-biochars, soil and biological samples, as well as designing valuable by-products from waste biomass.

My Grants

I have had a great contribution in writing proposals and submitting for funding. I delivered a number of milestone reports to academic and industry partners, including CSRIO and NSW Department of Primary Industries, which has led to a considerable funding for further research in the field.

My Qualifications

PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, the University of New South Wales.

My Awards

Scholarship from the University of New South Wales in 2013.

My Research Activities

I have conducted multiple collaborative research projects between the UNSW and international partner organizations since 2016. These successful collaborations have led to over twenty papers in this field.

My Research Supervision

Areas of supervision

I have supervised a number of research students in my research area from both UNSW and overseas since 2018.
