I am an ARC DECRA Research Fellow based at the University of New South Wales, Australia. I have broad research interests in palaeoclimate and contemporary/future climates. I am an ARC DECRA Research Fellow based at the University of New South Wales, Australia. I have broad research interests in palaeoclimate and contemporary/future climates. My current work involves the understanding of tipping points and positive feedbacks within the Earth System, and determining the timing, teleconnections, and impacts of past atmospheric circulation change. I have extensive fieldwork experience in the southern mid- to high-latitudes and use a range of laboratory-based techniques to understand the operation of the Earth System during periods of past change.
I am Associate Director of the Chronos 14Carbon-Cycle Facility at UNSW, housing the first Mini Carbon Dating System (MICADAS) Accelerator Mass Spectrometer in the Southern Hemisphere, which automates the high-precision measurement of radiocarbon.
