Vina Putra is a Scientia PhD Scholar from the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, working on multidisciplinary approaches of mechanomics engineering to understand and modulate stem cells structure and function. She graduated from the University of Applied Science Technikum Wien, Austria and completed her M.S. thesis when she first joined Professor Knothe Tate's MechBio Lab in 2017. She expanded her research skills in neuroblastoma molecular and gene dysregulation while taking up a research assistant role at the Children's Cancer Institute. Her current research involves chemistry (drug delivery), mechanics, physics, and imaging tools to recapitulate and elucidate stem cells adaptation during tissue development and healing across time and length scales. Ultimately, she hopes to harness these information to improve therapies and design of medical devices for regenerative medicine.
