Dr. Huy Tran is a lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City and the Medical Director of Hai Yen Eye Care, Vietnam. Dr. Huy Tran is a lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City and the Medical Director of Hai Yen Eye Care, Vietnam. He has about 10 years of experience in clinical and teaching activities for eye care practitioners, especially in myopia management services and refractive surgery. Dr. Huy Tran was awarded a PhD degree from UNSW in 2022 for his research project of investigating novel eye drops for myopia control treatment in children with myopia. He received a Master degree and a residency training program in Ophthalmology in Vietnam in 2013 followed by a one-year fellowship in the field of Ophthalmology in Wilmer Eye Institute, John Hopkins University, and Havard Medical School in 2014.
Dr. Huy Tran has been acknowledged as the Asia-Pacific Ambassador of the International Myopia Institute and has been leading a myopia program in Vietnam in order to train eye care practitioners and provide myopia management services for children with myopia in Vietnam. He has also been the principal investigator in many current clinical trials for the use of novel treatment strategies in myopia control.
