Biography
I am an Associate Lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health. I am also an alumnus of the school and have worked as a clinical optometrist in both private and corporate practice, with interests in advanced multimodal ocular imaging, managing ocular surface and tear film dysfunction as well as collaborative multidisciplinary patient care. I am an Associate Lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health. I am also an alumnus of the school and have worked as a clinical optometrist in both private and corporate practice, with interests in advanced multimodal ocular imaging, managing ocular surface and tear film dysfunction as well as collaborative multidisciplinary patient care. I will be embarking on a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at Aston University exploring the use of ocular surface imaging in dry eye disease, particularly corneal nerve imaging with Professor James Wolffsohn and his dry eye disease team.

My Research Activities
My research focuses on ocular surface imaging, particularly corneal nerves in dry eye disease. This stems from my experience with corneal nerve imaging in systemic neurological conditions including peripheral neuropathies caused by neurotoxic cancer treatments and diabetes. My PhD research was in the topic of in-vivo corneal confocal microscopy and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy supervised by Dr Maria Markoulli, Professor Arun V Krishnan and Professor David Goldstein. The program is undertaken at the School of Optometry and Vision Science in collaboration with the IN FOCUS Study cancer research group based at the Prince of Wales Hospital (https://www.infocusstudy.org.au/).
