Joey Elias is a PhD candidate and Research Officer within the Implementation to Impact (i2i) team at UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on exploring the challenges faced by individuals living with and beyond cancer, with a particular emphasis on the factors influencing the implementation of innovations within health systems. Joey has experience applying implementation science theories and frameworks to identify and address barriers to oncology care. Currently, he is using outcomes and determinant frameworks to evaluate and scale a survivorship program for childhood brain cancer survivors and has contributed to the design and deployment of tailored implementation strategies. His work aims to bridge research and practice, driving sustainable improvements in cancer care delivery.
