Biography

Samrat graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry degree from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2006 and a Master of Applied Science (Research) degree from the School of Optometry and Vision Science, Queensland University of Technology in 2017. Samrat graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry degree from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2006 and a Master of Applied Science (Research) degree from the School of Optometry and Vision Science, Queensland University of Technology in 2017. After working in both clinical and research sectors in prestigious eye hospitals in India, he enrolled in PhD in the SOVS, UNSW in 2021. Currently, he is undertaking a PhD research project in the area of childhood myopia control. Alongside his PhD, he is also working part-time as a Research Associate at the School in the Research in Orthokeratology Laboratory on multiple research projects related to myopia control.
