My Research Activities

My research focuses on Southeast Asian foreign policy, Indo-Pacific strategic affairs and Australia’s regional engagement. I am currently examining how regional middle powers respond to geopolitical volatility, with a particular focus on ASEAN, minilateral diplomacy, and trade governance.

Expressions of interest are welcome from prospective Honours, MPhil or PhD students working on topics related to Southeast Asia, Indo-Pacific strategy, or soft power and public diplomacy.


My Engagement

I engage regularly with government, media and academic audiences on issues of foreign policy, regional strategy and international development. My research and policy advice informs legislative debate and contributes to public understanding of Southeast Asia and Australia’s regional engagement.
