Dr Hirono is an experienced health equity researcher. Her research and professional experience focus on the integration of health into policy formation and land use projects. She specialises in health impact assessment, health in all policies, the social determinants of health, public participation and deliberative democracy.
Katie is currently an Adjunct Fellow at the International Centre for Future Health Systems. Previously, Katie was part of the Centre for Health Equity Training, Research and Evaluation (CHETRE) where she helped to lead cutting-edge work on health impact assessment. In addition to her adjunct role at UNSW, Katie is an affiliate at the Johns Hopkins University and a Principal Consultant at RPS Consulting UK & Ireland.

My Qualifications
Katie holds a PhD in global health policy from the University of Edinburgh, a MPH from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
