A/Prof. Oleg Tretiakov heads the Topological Spintronics and Quantum Materials research group in the School of Physics at UNSW. His research interests are centered on skyrmions and other topological solitons in magnetic systems; spin-orbit torques; topological antiferromagnetic spintronics, including non-collinear antiferromagnetstopological thermoelectrics; as well as strongly correlated low-dimensional systems with spin-orbit interaction. Dr. Tretiakov joined the UNSW as a Senior Lecturer in 2019. He also was an assistant professor at Tohoku University in Japan from 2012. He received his PhD in Physics from Duke University in USA (2005) and held postdoctoral fellowships at the John Hopkins University, New York University and Texas A&M University.  He has given 200+ invited presentations at conferences and universities around the world.
