Dr Yuekang Li is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. He leads an independent research team focusing on software engineering, cybersecurity, and trustworthy artificial intelligence.

He is the Principal Investigator of an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) project on explainable fuzz testing for software vulnerability detection. His research spans software testing, program analysis, AI-powered software engineering, and the security and reliability of large language models (LLMs) and autonomous AI agents. He supervises PhD and research students and leads research projects aimed at improving the security, reliability, and trustworthiness of software and AI systems.

Prior to joining UNSW, he was a Research Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, where he received his Ph.D. and bachelor's degrees in 2020 and 2016, respectively.
