I am an epidemiologist with extensive experience in academic research, research support, and postgraduate teaching in the university setting. My undergraduate degrees include a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts. I completed my MPH (University of Sydney) in 2004 and my PhD (UNSW Sydney) in 2009. I have over 20 years of experience in clinical and linked data public health research with multidisciplinary teams. I have worked at the Centre for Big Data Research in Health, School of Population Health, Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity, and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney.

I have expertise in contracted linked data research, bespoke data linkage with multiple health districts, co-designing a linked data asset with government and research stakeholders, working with IT developers to create and manage cloud-based research infrastructure, managing data access agreements and ethics approvals, and coordinating a major training contract with the Australian Government Department of Health.

I also have five years of postgraduate teaching experience at UNSW Sydney. I have developed, convened and taught Context of Health Data Science and Dissertations for the MSc (Health Data Science), developed online training courses, and have been a casual teaching academic on the Foundations of Epidemiology course for the Masters of Public Health.
