Ovarian cancer is a difficult disease to treat, because often women are diagnosed at an advanced stage of the disease. We will investigate a number of genes involved in ovarian cancer in order to identify one that could act as a signal for early detection so we may be able to diagnose women earlier. We will also test a new drug that stops the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body, and will potentially help women that do not respond to available therapies.
