Dr Alfred Krzywicki

I am a Casual Academic and Research Fellow in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia, with a background in both software engineering and AI. After receiving my Ph.D. from the same university in 2012, I worked on social media analysis and contributed to the implementation and commercial deployment of a recommender system. My current research interests include Natural Language Processing, text and stream mining for knowledge extraction from web and social media documents and extracting events from web documents and linking events to people and organisations. My current research is forecasting infrequent political and social events. Apart from research I also contribute to teaching Machine Learning, Data Science and AI courses at this University and at the University of Adelaide.
