Dr Badal Pokharel is an Associate Lecturer at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. She teaches Geospatial Information Science (GMAT3220). She specialises in implementation of remote sensing (RS), geographical information systems (GIS) and machine learning algorithms to assess natural hazards.

My Research Activities

Her research focuses on the assessment of natural and human-induced disasters, such as earthquake-triggered landslides or climate change-induced floods, using geospatial approaches. She is passionate about working in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research that contributes towards disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM).
