She is Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Tennis Australia and The Australian Open and Medical Director of the Australian Olympic Team for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

She co-developed (with Prof Ollie Jay & Dr James Smallcombe at University of Sydney) the Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) Extreme Heat Policy which was released in 2021 and was a co-author on the Lancet series on Heat & Health, published in August 2021. Her research expertise is in the area of injury and illness prevention in sporting populations and developing evidence-based guidelines for physical activity in children.

In collaboration with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), she co-authored the guidelines for return to sport in a COVID environment in 2020. These were adopted by the AHPPC and the Federal Cabinet and became the framework for restarting sport in Australia.
