Spike is the co-founder and director of the Intelligent Systems for State and Societal Resilience (IS4SSR) Hub. IS4SSR is a team that co-designs and builds digital solutions for partners working in complex, contested spaces. The team is values-driven with women's and children's safety, the well-being of individuals, and the community resilience being key drivers. 

Spike has 30+ years experience of working in AI and machine-learning across areas ranging from decision-support and simulation to multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, effective deployment of Large Language Models, and Serious Games. He has previously served as a head-of-school at UNSW, but is most proud of the HDRs and students he has had the good fortune to mentor and teach across his career.
