Dr Saber Mohamed Elsayed

Biography

Saber has been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales Canberra, Australia, in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology from Zagazig University, Egypt in 2004, and Master of Computer Science in 2008 from Menoufiya University, Egypt.

Saber has been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales Canberra, Australia, in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology from Zagazig University, Egypt in 2004, and Master of Computer Science in 2008 from Menoufiya University, Egypt.

Currently, Saber is a Research Fellow (level B) with the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales Canberra. From 2005 to 2009, Saber was a Teaching Assistant with the Department of Operations Research and Decision Support, the Faculty of Computers and Informatics, Zagazig University, Egypt. His research interests include the areas of evolutionary algorithms, constrained and unconstrained optimization, scheduling, multi-objective optimization, big data and cyber-security using computational intelligence.

 

Dr. Elsayed was the winner of the "IEEE-CEC2011’s Competition Testing Evolutionary Algorithms on Real-world Numerical Optimization Problems” and the "IEEE-CEC2016’s Competition on Real Parameter Single Objective OptimizationSaber is a member of the IEEE Computer Society. He is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Business Intelligence and Data Mining. He is one of two Program Chairs of the 20th Asia-Pacific Symposium on Intelligent and Evolutionary Systems (Canberra, Australia).  He also serves as a reviewer in several international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation. Saber was also a member of the program committee of several international conferences.
