Dr Chaoyang Jiang is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales and a member of the Flow Noise Group. His research centres on understanding and controlling flow-induced noise, particularly from devices near populated areas like UAVs, aircraft and wind turbines, as well as exploring the fundamentals of aeroacoustics and turbulent flows. Dr. Jiang's current focus includes (i) flow dynamics and noise generation of airfoils/bluff bodies immersed in complex flows, (ii) noise control of airfoils and rotors, and (iii) surface pressure fluctuations underneath turbulent boundary layers.
