Mr Chris Pearce

Biography

Christopher Pearce researches in the area of private law, particularly in the fields of equity and trusts and property. 

Before joining UNSW Law in 2018 as a Lecturer, Christopher held positions at the University of Sydney and UTS teaching in a number of courses focused upon Contracts, Equity, Personal Property and Real Property. Christopher Pearce researches in the area of private law, particularly in the fields of equity and trusts and property. 

Before joining UNSW Law in 2018 as a Lecturer, Christopher held positions at the University of Sydney and UTS teaching in a number of courses focused upon Contracts, Equity, Personal Property and Real Property. Previously, Christopher worked as an editor at Thomson Reuters, producing material for the Westlaw platform as well as editing various law report series. 

Christopher is a graduate of the University of Sydney (BA, LLB (Hons I), LLM) and is a PhD candidate at UNSW under the supervision of Professor Simone Degeling and Dr Michael Crawford. His PhD thesis examines the relationship between equitable doctrines and statutes.
