I have cultivated a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of synthetic biology, particularly in the realm of recombinant protein and nucleic acid.

I obtained my PhD degree at UNSW, Sydney in Biotechnology. My PhD thesis focussed on harnessing prefoldin proteins for enzyme assemblies and fabrication of metalloprotein nanowires.

My current role as a senior technical officer at the Recombinant Products Facility (RPF) is to focus on upstream and downstream processing in protein production using bioreactors and chromatography systems. I have had the privilege of working alongside a diverse team of researchers, technicians, and professionals, collaborating to bring innovative biotechnological projects to fruition. This experience has allowed me to fine-tune my laboratory techniques, experiment design, and data analysis capabilities, all while nurturing a keen attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue my journey at RPF to focus on the optimisation and development of methodologies for protein purifications and characterisations.

My Qualifications

  • PhD in Biotechnology, UNSW Sydney:

My Awards

  • 2019: Recipient of UNSW Scientia PhD scholarship for PhD programme in Australia.
  • 2022: The best poster award presented at Annual EMBL Australia Posrtgraduate Symposium
