  • Assisted in the criminal investigation of the nursing home fire in Quakers Hill, NSW. Working alongside with NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW
  • Assisted in the coroner investigation of the apartment fire in Bankstown, NSW. Working alongside with Fire and Rescue NSW
  • Sitting member in the Fire Research Advisory Committee – consists of UNSW, UTS, CSU, NSW Fire Brigade, Office of Fair Trading, Insurance Council Australia, Fire Protection Association Australia, State Coroners Office and CEDU
  • Participated in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Coordinated Research Projects (CRP) benchmarking of thermal-hydraulic computational fluid dynamics and reactor system codes
  • Participated in the design and commissioning of the Open Pool Australian Lighwater (OPAL) research reactor at ANSTO
  • Coordinator for Group Eight Engineering Deans and Associates Examiners Pilot Project to implement an external examiner process that would provide external moderation and benchmarking assessment of undergraduate engineering degree programmes
