We are a molecular and cell biology laboratory with a translational research focus. We study healthy blood stem cells and leukaemic cells. Our investigations are at genome-scale and in single cells. We are a molecular and cell biology laboratory with a translational research focus. We study healthy blood stem cells and leukaemic cells. Our investigations are at genome-scale and in single cells. We use this knowledge to improve our biological understanding and management of blood stem disorders such as myelodysplasia and acute myeloid leukaemia. 

Our research interest lies in identifying critical components of the haematopoietic transcriptional network and how it governs stemness. How this network is perturbed in mutant blood stem cells and its impact on clonal dominance and maintenance of leukaemia is a focus. The role of stromal cells in the development of blood stem cells and maintenance of leukaemic cells is also an area of research interest.
