Dr Vindhya Weeratunga is a Lecturer in the School of Business at UNSW, Canberra.

Vindhya is an HR practitioner / CEO turned academic. She draws upon her professional experience in people management to inform her research and increase the relevance and robustness of it. She has an emerging record of research excellence, working independently and collaboratively with researchers in Australia and the US. Her current research projects deal with employee engagement, well-being, future of work, HR practices and different demographic groups, in Australia, Sri Lanka, and the US.

Current research project: Flexible Working in the ACT Public Service. The research examines the impact of flexible working on productivity, wellbeing and effectiveness of ACTPS workers and examine factors that can lead to more effective flexible working including the built environment, and managerial and organisational support. The project is funded by ANZSOG.
