Gavin Schwarz is a Professor and Head of School at the School of Management and Governance in the UNSW Business School. Gavin is Director of the Health@Business Research Network. Gavin Schwarz is a Professor and Head of School at the School of Management and Governance in the UNSW Business School. Gavin is Director of the Health@Business Research Network. His research and work interests include organizational change and organizational inertia, with a particular interest in better understanding how organizations fail when changing, and developing applied strategies for dealing with failure to change. He is also interested in exploring how knowledge develops in organizational and change theory, and has published in numerous journals including Academy of Management Learning and Education, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Group and Organization Management, British Journal of Management, and Administrative Science Quarterly. He is a member of the Academy of Management’s Organization Development and Change division’s executive board and serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science (JABS) . He is also an editorial board member of the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.
