Timothy is a biostatistician with more than 20 years’ experience teaching biostatistics to postgraduate students. He has an outstanding record of achievement in applied biostatistical research built since completing his PhD in Biostatistics in 2005 at the University of Sydney School of Public Health. He has extensive expertise in the analysis of linked administrative data, complementing his experience in working with clustered and correlated data. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in health and medical research, and has published in top-ranking international and national publications.
In 2016, he was appointed a Deputy Statistics and Methodology Advisor for Addiction, the premier journal publishing research on pharmacological and behavioural addictions reflecting his international reputation as a leading authority in the application of biostatistics to drug and alcohol research.
My Research Supervision
Areas of supervision
Applying and extending novel biostatistical methods for drug and alcohol research: for example cluster randomised trials, step-wedge trials, interrupted time series analysis. Analysing linked administrative data. Data visualisation techniques for effective communication of research results.
